If you like playing to a ticking time bomb and have speedy fingers - then Tad's Profile Panic is for you. A game by, N.S Teens®, Tad has been using the internet and needs to learn a thing or two about online safety. The idea of the game is to become a “privacy guru” by collecting all of Tad’s personal data and locking it away in a vault.

The game play is very similar to a Pac Man style game, where the clock ticks down as you collect items.

The game intensifies as the “bad guys” start to chase poor Tad, and if he’s caught, he has to start again, but the dreaded clock keeps ticking.

It’s kind of addictive, and the sense of time pressure escalates along with the cheesy music, that is so annoying you really want to get the items and get to the next level to stop it. The quicker you collect all the items and get them into the privacy vault, the more points you accumulate. You have three lives to work up the levels, but if you don’t make it, it is kind of frustrating to start at level one again, with no safe level that I could find.

At certain levels you also get the chance to boost your points with bonus rounds.

The game is very addictive, but the educational elements are lacking. The only references to online safety are in the description and what level you achieve. There is little explanation about the data you are collecting or the dangers regarding online privacy. Only when you pause do you get some relevant information.

Tad's Profile Panic - 2 out of 5 Stars.
While this game is fun to play and I really want to see how many
levels I can get to, it is one dimensional and lacks any educational merit.
