Website Warrior, is a game created and developed via NetSmartz®, for the website N.S Teens; and is centred around the main protagonist, Mike. Mike is 15 years old, and a music lover. Deciding to get his band set-up online, Mike creates a band-site, a website where all of the bands music and images can be shared with their fans. What 15 year-old Mike Chang didn’t expect, was for their website to be HACKED!
Website Warrior is a 2D adventure style game, that focuses on use of the keyboards d-pad [if playing on a PC]. The games graphics and audio is clean and crisp, with the in-game direction of flow, easy to navigate.
The objective of the gameThe objective of the game is to restore Mike’s website. To do this, you need to collect ‘C’ files, which represent code files, necessary to beating each of the viruses and overwriting the system. Pretty cool sounding stuff! is to restore Mike’s website. You will be pitted against bugs, viruses, phishers, and trojan [horses]. Each of these with various level of difficulty to defeat and progress further in the game. Now, some of you may have heard of these, we will call them “baddies”, before. Some of you may already know what each of these “baddies” can do to your computer and its programs or software. But for those that haven’t heard of them, this game doesn’t really explain what they can do and how they work at really hurting or breaking your computer.
The game does reflect a more, stereotypical image of “bugs” and viruses, rather than a realistic one.

As for the game itself, it’s very fun. There are some aspects that you will find you will work-around. Like, the bugs, for instance. You don’t get any rewards for jumping on and defeating them, so after a while I was just jumping over them and moving on. Then others are more difficult. Those stinkin’ viruses! They blob about and are more annoying to get at and defeat, because they have no set trajectory - they just float about and get in the way. So, the viruses won, this time!

There’s also teleportation points that you navigate, and ‘reboot’ buttons that, when you press them, blocks disappear; making it harder or easier to get around.

While Website Warrior doesn’t go into great detail about bugs, viruses, phishers, or trojans...it is very fun! And, you will walk away knowing a little more than when you started.
Website Warrior is available to play direct from N.S Teens.org and can be downloaded from Apple’s App Store and Google Play.
Website Warrior - 3 out of 5 stars.
While the game doesn’t teach you are great deal about how to really be protected from viruses and other online predators, it is really well done. You will get a lot of enjoyment from playing this game. And, who knows? Maybe you will learn something.
