The ABCs of online safety for young people
According to Wired magazine, there are a couple of basics to helping keep your children safe online.
A. Adjust as needed - all children are different. do what is right for your family and each child, taking into account their age, legal restrictions and what your child is ready for.
B. Be an example - check in with your own online behaviours and be a good role model.
C. Communicate constantly - talk with your children. The best way to understand your children is to find out their thoughts, feeling and experiences. this goes for online safety too.
